My friend in Federal Prison

Wow, I never thought I'd have a friend in a federal prison. Isn't that where hardened criminals live? Apparently not because my friend is a 63 yeard old nun who was trying to get the School of the Americas closed. Why? Because this is the American school where men were trained in military action and then went out to rape, torture, and murder four women, one, Sr. Dorothy Kazel, a dear friend of the nun now in prison. I imagine if this happened to someone I loved, I'd be in prison, too. My crime probably wouldn't be trespassing but something far darker. I pray I never need to go down that road. My friend, Diane is a gentle soul but with the courage of a lion. My prayers are with her until she gets released, and thereafter. Peace needs to return to the heart of humanity.

Gone in a flash

An accident happened the other night in Cleveland involving a pregnant doctor driving home from work and a guy driving a stolen car. Guess what? Head on collision and the beautiful, smart and caring young doctor may be brain dead. WTF? Her life may be gone in a flash. This is why I do things that others might deem as meddling. Sometimes I like to nudge people into doing things they want to do but are afraid to for whatever reasons. Life is short and we need to say i love you now. So here goes ---- I love you!!

State of confusion

How can you give your love to someone else yet share your dreams with me? Vanessa has said it all ... What is love? Does anyone know? I thought I knew once but it appears my idea is so different from that of others. Maybe I love too much. I would walk miles and miles to see my love. I think sacrifice is a part of love. Aren't we supposed to want the one we love to be happy even if we don't always get our way? I would imagine if people truly loved each other, they would both be happy, making it happen. Give and take ... isn't that what is is all about? I want to make the lives of other easier if I can. Maybe I've been a young fool and I am turning into an old fool. But if it means a choice of sacrifice or selfishness, I'll take the sacrifice.

Do you think you die when you just don't care anymore. I had an elderly German friend once who got so discouraged by the world and he would say, "What we can do?" in his sweet accent. He finally gave up one day and I really think at the moment of his giving up, he started to die. God bless you my dear Mr. Vegh, wherever you are. Thank you for being in my life.

Mr. Right

Maybe if I put down in writing Mr. Right's attributes, he will materialize. Sweeeet!

He must have a great sense of humor, have a generosity of spirit, be loving and rich in kindness, must have a wide range of interests, be slow to anger, must be sexy -- oh yeah, be supportive of me and my interests, must like to dance, must love children, must have a wonder of life, be adverturesome, must love the beach, be playful, must feel a responsibility for the earth and its people and animals, be talkative and of course, Must Love Dogs... wait, I think I just saw that movie. ;)

Where are you, my darling man?

Ancient Chinese saying

An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break.

Wouldn't it be cool to actually see that red thread?
Happy New Year to all...I hope you connect with whomever you are supposed to this year.

Soul Mate

Do you ever wonder if there IS just one person for each of us and if we lost that one person, too bad, oh well, you will never find love again?
