Joyful, joyful...

I never tire of watching the final state music competition rendition of the song "Joyful, joyful, we adore thee," in the movie Sister Act II. It truly makes my heart burst when people step outside of their comfort zone to do something amazing. Fear is the great intimidator which keeps us in our little enclosed box.

Isn't it ironic?

In the news ... Economic times appear so bad for many people however, a pizza store owner needs 50 workers for his chain of restaurants and no one is applying. Hey, to feed my family I have done worse jobs.

Truth

I do believe that the truth WILL set you free. I wish other people believed it, too!

Temptation

While watching my favorite TV show last night, Saving Grace, the issue of temptation was presented. I wonder ... If people don't believe that there is a devil, where does temptation come from? Do other people tempt us? Do we tempt ourselves? Does God tempt us, just to test us? It just seems there has to be some main headquarters where it all happens. ;)

Horses

This past Sunday I was fortunate enough to be able to get up close to 5 horses. My friend actually lives next door to these beauties. Two of the horses were retired race horses and the other three were rescued Mustangs from out West. One of the Mustangs was grayish in color with stripes on his legs like those of a zebra. He had a black stripe down his back, long hair that covered his eyes, and 3 of his fetlocks were brown and one was white. Another horse was pure white with blue eyes. While I was looking at one of the race horses, it felt almost surreal. His chocolate brown coat was so shiny and he was extremely large. I was having trouble understanding that this huge being was a living and breathing creature. He seemed like a statue. It was a magnificent feeling being in his presence. I totally want to go back. Also, while we were standing around I noticed the barn swallows. It's amazing how they fly around and then just zoom down into the barn. God gives us so many beautiful wonders to enjoy. I certainly did on Sunday.
